Your account and assigned work
Kingsleigh provisions accounts for approved users. Your account details, role and job assignments determine the work available to you. Work you submit is associated with your account and the relevant job.
- Jobs and evidence: site addresses, contact details, notes, attendance, photographs, room measurements, scans and documents are used to organise and record the work.
- Work records: scope items, variations, payment applications and any claim or policy references you enter are sent with the relevant work record when you file them.
- Messages: messages to the office and replies are stored with their sender and time. A job thread is shared with people who have access to that job. Follow the audience shown in the composer.
- Offline work: supported captures and messages can be held on your device while there is no connection. A queued item has not yet been confirmed by the office system. Check its filing or delivery status before relying on it.
The company privacy policy identifies Kingsleigh Homes Limited as the controller and describes its service providers, sharing with insurers and loss adjusters, and your rights.
Phone and iPad permissions
- Camera and room scanning: capture job photographs, operative identification photographs and, on supported devices, room measurements and environmental meshes. Evidence you file is transferred to the job record.
- Microphone: optional Voiceover records your commentary with a scan video. These recordings stay on the device until you choose to save or share them. Switch Voiceover off to record without audio.
- Photo library: save a recording or exported scan when you choose that action.
- Location at site sign-in: record a location fix alongside attendance. The optional Watch Guardian session has additional location behaviour, explained below.
- Bluetooth: connect supported laser and moisture meters so measurements can be recorded in a survey. Filed readings become part of the job evidence.
- Local network: connect to the configured Kingsleigh OS or Jarvis service for available job, evidence and assistant functions. This permission is different from sending records to the hosted portal.
- Notifications: the device push token can be registered for operational notifications. Delivery depends on the enabled service and connection.
You can change permissions in your device settings. Refusing a permission prevents the related capture or monitoring function from working; it does not grant permission for a different use.
Optional Apple Watch Guardian
During an active lone-working session, Guardian uses Watch motion and available heart-rate signals to look for an impact, extended stillness or a missed check-in. It uses a workout-backed session to keep monitoring available in the background.
Guardian also updates location during the session, including in the background where permitted, for the site boundary, automatic sign-out and an alert location. The app’s location use is therefore broader than the single phone sign-in fix when you enable Guardian.
Routine sensor processing takes place on the Watch. Session and event records can pass through the paired phone to the office system. If Guardian escalates, the record can include your identity, job and site address, location and situation details such as heart rate, impact and stillness evidence. These details may be retained with the incident and used to seek help. Health and motion information does not always stay on the Watch.
The Watch lets you end a Guardian session and the device settings control its permissions. Stopping monitoring or removing a permission can reduce or end coverage. An alert may be queued while the phone is unavailable; the delivery state matters. Guardian can open the system emergency dialler, but that does not confirm a connected call.
Storage and retention
The company policy currently describes retention by purpose and applicable legal, insurance and accounting requirements. It does not publish fixed periods for every record type.
Office verification required before release: confirm the retention and deletion arrangements for accounts, messages, attendance and location, Guardian health and incident records, scans, backups and offline copies. This page does not invent a period or promise that deleting the app removes records already filed with the office. The account controls described below report sign-in closure separately from profile cleanup and the review of associated records.
Local drafts or recordings may still be needed for your job. Check that work has been filed or exported before removing your app or its local data.
Your choices & requests
Closing your account
Signed in to the app, open Account → Delete account. Confirm with your password and by typing DELETE. This starts a self-service account-closure attempt; it does not wait for an office approval. Before clearing work held on this phone, the app warns you about unsent items and asks you to confirm.
The result distinguishes verified sign-in closure, closure with cleanup still incomplete, and an outcome that could not be confirmed. Read the result and keep its reference if one is shown. A lost connection is not proof that the attempt failed or that the account is closed. Follow the result's instructions; if the outcome is unclear or it directs you to the office, contact them with the reference if available. When closure is verified, the app attempts to sign this phone out and clear this account’s local app data, subject to your consent for unsent work. If that cleanup fails, the screen offers a cleanup retry.
Account closure is not confirmation that all associated personal data has been erased. The system separately attempts profile cleanup and access revocation. Job contributions — photographs and evidence, signed RAMS, site sign-ins, payment applications and variations — may still contain personal information. Their deletion or justified retention requires a separate review; it is not marked complete by the account-closure receipt. The retention arrangements and completion process remain to be confirmed before release. Older office-managed requests may still display their recorded status; withdrawing one does not restore access already revoked.
To request access to or correction of your information, or if you cannot sign in, contact the Kingsleigh office. Opening an email sends nothing to Kingsleigh until you send it, and an email does not itself close an account or delete data.
Please do not put passwords or unnecessary medical or customer information in your first email. The office can arrange the appropriate way to identify your records.
